It has been a very quiet sea day after a busy day passing through the Panama Canal yesterday - so I wasn’t going to post a blog entry today - but then suddenly, the day changed.
For the past 70-some days, we have fronted up with our team of six to the afternoon trivia competition. Many times we have been one point off the winners - but today - finally the tide turned!! We scored 16 and shared the lead with five teams to get the top score. The tie breaker question was to guess what year the compere, Leigh, was born in. We had heard before that he was 25, so we ‘guessed’ 1986 - and won the tie breaker with another team. Leigh decided that both teams would be declared the winners and could have joint prizes so we each received a large blue Princess cruises water bottle which will no doubt be displayed proudly on the dinner table tonight. If only we knew that Milton wrote ‘Paradise Lost’, and that there were 43,000 square feet in an acre!!
Winners are grinners!!
