We are creating this blog for our family and friends to follow us as we travel on the Dawn Princess 2011 Round The World cruise. For the past two years I have enjoyed reading the blogs of those lucky few who were travelling on cruises around the world - learned heaps of great ideas and tips to cope with being away from home for such a long time and also loved reading about the different adventures to be had in each port. In fact, there is so much opportunity to tailor the journey to your own individual experiences - reading some of the past blogs - it was often easy to wonder if they were even on the same trip - every person views the world from their own perspective and that is what makes the blogs so interesting. You are very welcome to join us on our voyage and I would love to read your comments along the way - pull up an armchair and enjoy the ride!!
It all started with these words on the gift voucher that I received for my 'significant' birthday last year - I was overwhelmed with excitement - and it seemed so far away but now the final countdown is on in earnest. It is just now 8 days before we leave home for our 'adventure of a lifetime' - if we are ready in time - we have been planning, researching, booking, getting visas, injections, checking exchange rates and currencies for each port etc - for over 300 days since we booked - but now things are really getting down to the wire.
I wish I had someone (note this, Jo) who would give me a "gift voucher" like this!! Great site....
